Using Balloon Outside
Balloons are delicate by nature, and outdoor conditions can make them wear out more quickly than when used indoors. To help them last longer, here are a few practical tips:

-
Wait until the last minute. Keep your balloons inside until you’re ready to start your outdoor celebration. This cuts down on the time they’re exposed to direct sunlight, wind, and dust that can cause early popping.
-
Choose lighter shades on hot days. Dark-colored balloons heat up quickly under the sun, while lighter colors reflect light and tend to last longer.
-
Mind the heat. The hotter it is, the greater the chance balloons will burst if left in direct sun. Set them up in a shaded spot whenever possible, but make sure they won’t rub against sharp branches or structures.
-
Watch the cold. Freezing temperatures can cause balloons to shrink, crack, or pop. Try to keep them outside only for the time needed during your event.
-
Have backups. Plan for some balloons to fail outdoors. Ordering extras ensures you can quickly replace any that don’t make it through the party.
Many people successfully use balloons outdoors and love the results, but because of the unpredictable conditions, we cannot guarantee their performance once they leave the studio.
When your event wraps up, please pop and properly dispose of all balloons.
